Ah, 2023! We hardly knew you… It certainly flew by this year!
In this post-COVID world, I think we count our blessings with a little more thankfulness. We’ve finally reached a place of normal – or at least of the “new normal.” For everyone here at Copley at Stoughton, that includes an extra emphasis on infection control so that we can keep our residents safe from all types of illness. Our staff works tirelessly to ensure our residents including short-term rehab patients are kept as safe as possible throughout the year.
I’m thankful that through all of this, we were still able to hold many of our holiday performances and festivities this year including our upcoming New Year’s Eve celebration. Community is important in a home like Copley where we all spend so much time together. Living apart while living together can be frustrating and isolating for our residents. Social activities are vitally important to keeping the mind and body sharp and well.
I’d like to recognize once again all the hard work of our staff and management team to make Copley the safe-yet-social place that it is today. They’ve had to do somersaults to get us here – their dedication and commitment to our residents goes above and beyond. Thank you too to all our wonderful family members out there who are key to keeping residents’ spirits up and doing all that they do to reduce the risk of an outbreak at Copley. Community does not end at our doors – it includes you, too.
So, to everyone in the Copley family, I wish you a happy and healthy holidays, and a fantastic 2024!
